Kinoe Studio · Quick tour

A first loop, step by step.

A short route through the main editing decisions. The full guide covers every current feature and effect control.

01

Import your artwork

Import videos or GIFs as layers. With several still images, choose One animated layer · each image is a frame to create a sequence, or Separate layers to make a composite. Sequences start in filename order and can be rearranged in Frames.

02

Choose the layer

Select a layer before editing it. Its name stays connected to its effects, properties, preview comparison and timing tools. The top layer appears in front.

03

Add and refine an effect

Open Effects and choose Add effect from the searchable library. Select an effect in the ordered stack; on a phone, use Show stack to select an instance. Duplicate effects remain separate, with their own controls.

04

Compare before and after

The comparison applies to the selected layer’s effects. Before bypasses those effects; After shows the current settings and is used for export. Other layers stay visible.

05

Animate a property

In Animation, use Key beside a supported property to set or remove a key at the playhead. Set another value at a different time to animate it. Motion adds modulation and is separate from keyframes.

06

Frames and Rails do different jobs

Frames controls a still-image or GIF sequence’s source-frame order and timing. Rails controls which eligible source frames an effect uses. Neither replaces animation keys.

07

Name, save and reopen

Rename from the header. Use Save project to download an editable .kinoe file, and Open project to reopen it. On phones the save control is labelled Save; its accessible name identifies it as the project save. A downloaded GIF or MP4 is a separate render.

08

Choose output and download

Choose GIF or MP4 and set size and quality in Output. GIF is silent. Use Include the sound in MP4 exports when your MP4 should include the soundtrack. Download renders using the current choices.
